Send Your Neighbor a Halloween Boo Gram

It is not too late to Boo your neighbor.  What is a Boo Gram?  A Boo Gram is a treat bag filled with a few goodies, toys, candy and other Halloween treats that are left on a doorstep along with an anonymous note telling you that you have been boo'd!  You are also given a sign to hang up on your front door telling your neighbors that you have already been boo'd, so they know not to Boo a house more than once.  Now that you have been Boo'd, you have to Boo 2 more neighbors.  What are you waiting for?  If no one else has started this fun neighborhood tradition, go for it!  Start by printing your Boo Grams HERE.

Vicks Vapor Rub on the Feet

Yes mom's, cold season is here and every mom always wants to know the best way to keep their kids as comfortable as possible while trying to get them back to good health as quickly as possible.  Since their are no cold and cough medicines for our children who are under 6 years of age, we are always looking for ways to help get our kids feeling better.

For their little noses, I use saline nose drops such as Little Noses (or store brand) found in just about any supermarket or drugstore.  This helps to thin mucus secretions.

If they are not old enough to blow their nose into a tissue, I gently suction my little one's nose with BebeSounds Nasal Clear battery-operated nasal aspirator.  I tell new mommy's all the time that this is a must have.

When they have a cough that seems to keep them up all night, I use Vicks Vapor Rub on their feet! Yes folks - their feet!  I rub a generous amount of the Vicks on the bottoms of their feet and toes and then cover their feet with socks.  The coughing stops within 15 minutes if not immediately and they are able to sleep soundly the rest of the night.  I was so thrilled to have discovered a SAFE and EFFECTIVE way to help sooth my babies at night when they were sick, even as infants.  Has anyone else tried Vicks Vapor Rub on your feet?  It works on adults, too.

Mott's for Tots Sale

I try to make sure my kids eat and drink somewhat healthy.  That includes watching their sugar intake.  It is the main reason why I buy Mott's for Tots - 40% less sugar.  It's pretty much, watered-down fruit juice, which is what I would do with other fruit juice anyway.  My kids drink up gallons of this stuff per day, so we usually stock up on Mott's for Tots juice during Publix's Buy One Get One Free sales.  But, this week (until Oct. 9!), Target has an awesome deal!  Buy 5 Mott's juices (64 fl oz) and get a $5 Target gift card.  They are also marked down this week at $1.75 per bottle.  That's like getting 5 for $3.75 +tax!  I will be visiting Target a LOT this week!
